Workforce Boulder County will continue, under WIA, its multi-faceted approach designed to help youth develop and improve employability skills, basic skills comprehension, encourage school retention and completion, occupational skills training and improve their academic performance.
WfBC works closely with local education and community agencies in identifying, assessing, remediating and providing comprehensive service to youth participants.

Employment registration is open to anyone looking for work
Applicants are interviewed to determine skills, experience and job target

Vocational assessments to assist in determining occupations that match aptitude and
abilities
Basic skills assessments to determine reading and math skills levels
Computer Lab
Individual computer assisted basic skills training
Skill training levels target the non-reader through GED
Assistance to learn all the demand software packages

The following Job Search Workshops are offered:
Networking and Interviewing
Applications and Resumes that work
Job Training
Scholarships and tuition assistance are available for some clients
Scholarships may be used for training in high demand occupations
Internships/On-the-Job training
Some clients may qualify for the following:
Paid/unpaid internships at a variety of non-profit, private for profit or public entity
work sites
The intern will be trained in specified job skills and/or workplace success skills
Other Workshops
WfBC offers workshops in a variety of areas to assist job seekers in obtaining the employment they need and want
Supportive Services
Supportive services such as day care, transportation, uniforms, and work clothes may be provided to assist those in training to obtain employment.
Funding for the Center is provided by the Colorado Department of Labor of Employment, Colorado Workforce Coordinating Council and U.S. Department of Labor.
