The Workforce Investment Program for youth is federally funded for
eligible students 14-21 who are economically disadvantaged and/or have
other educational or employment barriers. This is a year-round
multi-faceted program. Its approach is designed to help youth develop and
improve learning skills at school, on the job, and to help workplace
success skills. It also encourages school retention and occupational
skills training. Youth ages 14-18 are referred to WIP by Parents, Schools,
Social Services Agencies, and Community Based Organizations. Program
Services are provided though a network of Youth Service Providers in
Boulder County.

General Eligibility Requirements
Reside in Boulder County
Be a citizen, national of the United States, lawfully admitted
permanent resident alien, refugee or other individual authorized to work
in the United States.
Meet Federal Low Income Guidelines.
In need of assistance to complete their education or work placement
and retention goals.
Commit to a twelve-month follow-up upon sucessful completion of the
program.

Complete a WIP referral form available at the WIP youth offices.

Provide documentation supporting information provided on the
completed application.
Return all forms and necessary information to the Boulder or Longmont
offices.
*Youth ages 14-18 are referred to WIP by Parents, Schools, Social

*Older youth ages 18-21 should register for work at our Boulder or
Longmont WfBC locations.
Documentation Required
Written Proof of General Eligibility Requirements, Work History,
Educational Background, and Barrier Assessment. WfBC Caseworkers will assist in gathering appropriate documentation.
