– Workforce Investment Program (Adult) Career
Development Facilitation and Job Placement / Training assistance for Low Income
and Underemployed Adults. Purpose
This Workforce Investment Program was established to assist adults who are economically
disadvantaged or underemployed and seeking improvement in their current employment
status. This program provides job placement and training assistance. Program goals
include increased employment and earnings and increased educational, occupational
and workplace success skill. Benefits / Services of Program -
Receive job placement assistance
- Obtain or increase workplace
success skills
- Improve basic skills in reading, math,
language, computers, or
- Complete GED or HS Diploma
- Participate
in enhanced employability seminars and workshops
- Receive
training scholarships
General Eligibility Requirements
- US Citizen or Registered Alien
- Resident of Boulder County
- TANF recipient or Food Stamp Eligible, or
- Family Size / Income for the last 6-12 months
- Six weeks job search or fifteen job contacts
for job seekers with
marketable skills, or
- Two or more barriers to employment (low basic
skills, ex-offender, HS dropout, poor work history, etc.)
How
to apply - Come to our office and register
for work with our Employee Services Team.
- Conduct and
document your intensive job search efforts.
- Complete WIP
Adult application available at front desk in Boulder
or Longmont. - Provide
documentation supporting information provided on the completed
WIP application
- Return all forms and necessary information to the Boulder
or
Longmont offices. Documentation Required Written
