Veterans have made many sacrifices serving our country and are an imperative part of Colorado’s workforce. The Colorado Workforce System is proud to honor Colorado Veterans with priority of service. Covered persons (veterans and spouses) who meet the eligibility requirements for program participation are entitled to priority of service for any workforce development services funded, in whole or in part, by the Department of Labor.
Boulder County assists veterans, transitioning service members, and spouses with the resources and services to meet labor-market demands through employment and training opportunities. We ensure early priority on all job listings, job fair and events, and other services for veterans.
Public Law 107-288, section 2(a) of the Act 38 U.S.C 4215 (a) Creates a priority of service for veterans (and some spouses) “who otherwise meet the eligibility requirements for participation” in Department of Labor (DOL) training programs.
