Veterans Employment Services

Workforce Boulder County provides priority of service to veterans in all employment and training programs.

To be eligible to receive services as a veteran you must meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

1. Served on active duty in a branch of the United States for a minimum of 181 days for other than training and received other than a dishonorable discharge.
2. Have a service connected disability.
3. Received a campaign medal and received other than a dishonorable discharge.

Veterans Assistance is available in the following areas.

Job Referral -- Referrals to jobs from the Colorado Workforce Center database.

Case Management -- Close follow-up, job development, and intensive job search for veterans.

Job Development -- Veterans Employment Specialists work closely with local employers in developing jobs for veterans.

Coordination -- Veterans Employment Specialists work closely with local organizations that provide services and assistance to veterans, e.g. Colorado State Vocational Rehabilitation, the Boulder County Veterans Service Office, the Boulder Vet Center, and local veterans service organizations (Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign wars).

Local Employer Information -- Information is available on employers in Boulder County.

Job Search Assistance -- Veterans Employment Specialists provide guidance in searching for employment locally and nationally.

Referrals to Training -- Veterans Employment Specialists will refer veterans to appropriate training to improve employability.

How to apply

Refer any time 8 a.m. — 4 p.m., Monday — Friday.  A Veterans Employment Representative is also in the Boulder Vet Center, at 2336 Canyon Blvd. Suite 103 in Boulder.

• Veterans may walk in or call for an appointment
